Deep work challenge

Most builders overestimate how much focused work they do in a week. Counting it is humbling and useful. A deep work race with a few peers turns the number into a habit.

How to run it

  1. Define deep work for yourself, for example no notifications and one task.
  2. Set a weekly hours goal. 20 is ambitious for most people.
  3. Log each session when it ends and watch the standings.

Example goal

20 hours of deep work in a week. Everyone picks a personal target, and the live race track ranks by percent of each person's own goal.

Why a race helps

You can see who has logged today, and you can invite a friend with one link. Friends can join with just a nickname, with no sign-up. Races hold up to 10 players, and public races up to 100.
